Into the Blue

Light dancing on water, reflections shimmering as you gaze up into the vaulted roof space high above, and breathe into the stillness. These are places to reconnect, enveloped by the warmth of the water as it breaks and folds around you, finding peace within the gentle rhythm as you glide into the blue.

This collection guides the viewer through five spectacular pools in Paris, from the historic pool in Butte-aux-Cailles in the city’s 13th arrondissement with its sweeping vaulted roof structure, to Piscine des Amiraux, which was designed by architect Henri Sauvage and built in the 1930s, and the contemporary architecture of Piscine de Bagneux.

Soo captures the incredible scale and dynamic colour palette of the famous pool at Molitor, and the striking forms within the dive pool at Piscine George Hermant with its concrete diving platforms and giant arched windows. Each pool is significant in its architecture, from historic to new, and each has a place with its community.
