The Plesman Collection
Every city has them, the places that you’ve read about, or a photo has caught your eye. The hidden gems of a city, and you need to seek them out. These places that hold history and tell us stories of other lives; that offer glimpses from the past within the present.
The Plesman Collection is an ode to The Hague, and to the chance encounters that happen when we travel – encounters with places and buildings and these other worlds that are waiting to be discovered. Soo guides us on a photographic journey from the iconic Kunstmuseum Den Haag, designed by Dutch architect Hendrik Berlage, to the early morning tranquillity of the Zwembad het Zuiderpark swimming pool. We find ourselves waiting to board the No. 36 tram that will lead us from the centre of the city to the beach of Scheveningen.
Soo takes us on a visual tour of The Plesman, the iconic building that was once home to the headquarters of KLM, and is now a hotel where architectural heritage meets contemporary design.
